So my setup includes an OEM watch charger plugged into my M1 MBP 16, which only has one other wire, connected to a Caldigit TS3+. I have quite a few peripherals at my workstation, including a Cricut Explore. All the power comes through a heavy duty, shop-rated, fused, monster power strip.
As is often the case esp. in winter, shuffling along the carpet can occasionally generate some static. A few times I’ve pulled the watch off the charger and gotten a little shock. That will power on the Cricut, with a little startup noise fanfare to announce it. Since we share a home office, my wife will then say, “Time to start a new project!” And we both laugh, since we’re getting old so little things like that are entertaining. Oddly though, nothing else is affected, and the Cricut is only connected to the mac by Bluetooth. Still, the entertainment value is not going to last very long, considering electrical blips like that are generally not computer friendly. This has only ever happened since I got the watch. I guess I could plug in the watch charger elsewhere, but it takes away from the gadgety cool of my workstation.
