Hello, I was hoping that Things 3 (desktop version) would have a reduce price for Black Friday or Cyber Monday. No such luck. Does the desktop version go on sale?
I’ve been watching it for a long time and have yet to see a price sale. I don’t think it’s gonna happen. I bought the phone app for $10 and it’s a wonderful tool. I just haven’t been able to make myself spend $50 on the desktop app yet.
Some premium apps (eg the Omnigroup apps, or Alfred) don’t offer sales. If you want the app you buy the app.
Things 3 for iPhone temporarily debuted in May 2017 for $7.99, then went up to its current $9.99 price without change. Things 3 for iPad debuted at the same time for $15.99 then went up to its current $19.99 price. Things 3 for Mac debuted at the same time for $39.99, then went up to its current price 3 weeks later and stayed there.
I suppose there’s a slim possibility Cultured Code might decide to drop the price to the debut price at the one year anniversary, but if you want the app it doesn’t seem worth it just to save $2/4/$10. At least you can download a trial of the Mac app (something they should allow via a lite version for iOS… but don’t).
