Time Machine interfering with Backblaze

I have discovered a problem with Time Machine and Backblaze I cannot seem to resolve. I recently switched to using Arq for my backup solution in place of Time Machine. When I did this, I removed the old Time Machine location on my NAS. However, twice now the system seems to have created a local time machine destination on my Macintosh HD. I only noticed this because Backblaze stops backing up at that point.

I removed the local disk as a backup disk once before (and I’m 99.999% sure I never created it myself in the first place), but it came back for some reason. Any idea why this is happening and how to prevent it in the future?

When you removed the TM location on your NAS, did you turn off Time Machine in System Settings? It sounds like Time Machine is still saving local snapshots.

There are no backup locations set up and nothing to “turn off”.
