Hi,
Does anyone happen to remember which Tire Inflator /Portable Air Compressor the guys recommended some episodes ago? I’ve tried searching the show notes to no avail.
Best regards,

I own this Milwaukee cordless tire inflator and keep it in the Jeep for trails. Some kits come with a battery, some don’t. Keep the battery in mind if you don’t have any other Milwaukee tools. Batteries can get pretty pricey.
There’s a great Ryobi one. I think David might be a Ryobi fan so possibly that one. Regardless, the answer is the one that comes from whichever power tool brand you want to get in to / have already got into.
This looks similar to the one we get in NZ / Australia (not identical). 18V ONE+ Dual Function Inflator/Deflator Kit
Oh sorry, I see that discontinued. Regardless, find something similar - ideally with auto shutoff and the high pressure + high volume options if you’re buying from Ryobi. Dunno what other brands have
I have been using this one for a few weeks, it’s very handy. For $60 AUD it’s well worth the convenience.
Granted, the first one I got was more or less dead. After charging 3 days solid it still wouldn’t wake up. I returned it and reordered the exact same one, and this one came fully charged and works perfectly.

I’ve had that Dewalt one for about five years now and it’s been great and rocksteady. Very happy with it.
Does it have a built-in air pressure gauge and do you consider it to be accurate? I have a Ryobi model that looks like this one but its built-in air pressure gauge does not match the reading on my truck or car’s dash nor the reading from my stick gauge (which has always agreed with the gas stations I use). But it does a nice job of inflating tires.
I purchased two VIAIR 85P compressors five years ago (one for myself, the second for my brother), and mine did a good job the one time I had to use it. I chose a model with clips to connect it directly to the battery.
It’s a digital gauge, and you set what you want your tires to be inflated to. The seal is very tight.
My test was to inflate my tires right before taking it into the dealership and had them compare and it matched.
So I believe it to be accurate. It also matches with the stick gauge I have, but I’ve never been sure how accurate the stick gauges are.
VIAIR makes good stuff. I’ve got a 400P-RV and it’s been great for me for the past 4+ years.
