I can’t seem to find this information online anywhere.
I sleep wearing an Apple Watch 6, but after I wake, I swap to an Apple Watch 9 for daytime.
Most mornings the Vitals information is transferred to my iphone (and therefore Apple Health) but sometimes it isn’t, and it’s only if I swap my watches again later that it eventually gets transferred.
I don’t understand the conditions that trigger the transfer of the information and it bugs me as (classic Apple) there’s no way to manually trigger the transfer.
(classic Apple) is a good way to describe most sync problems. I installed the Health app on my iPad when it became available in 2023 but it was seldom in sync with my iPhone. I eventually deleted it.
I said that there should be an iPad Health App from it appearing on the iPhone. I’ve used it [the iPad app] since it was released and haven’t had any issues with Data Syncing.
I find that the Health app sync way slower on the iPad than my watch and iPhone. “Slower” as in hours. This despite it sittong my desk only feet from the WiFi router.
It usually takes Vitals around 30 minutes to update its report after I wake up in the morning. It’s always a mystery why adding a few continually-monitored data points to a plot takes so long. The delay on the watch affects the sync with the iPhone, of course.
