I don’t travel much but I’ve recently entertained the idea of a road trip to Apple Park and wondered about the gas cost. In just a minute or two and the help of Apple Maps I had it figured out. But it occurred to me that this would be the perfect use case for a Shortcut so I put this together:
Trip Cost Estimate

It asks for you to choose from your Contacts for an address or to enter an address manually. Then it will ask for your car’s estimated MGP followed by the cost of gas per gallon. Siri will then read you the results and offer you the option to share the text including a link to the map in Apple Maps which can be shared to Apple Notes or any other text app with a Share Sheet extension.

That’s a good one! Though I used it to estimate the cost of driving to MacStock and it confirmed again that it’s too much time and money for me this year.

I know this is old but thanks for sharing. I made a similar one back in the Workflow days, and I wanted to see if I could find an API that could automatically return gas prices, as opposed to manually entering them, but I never got around to it. One of a million unfinished shortcuts at the moment.
