Update Apple ID Settings?

Strangely today, i had a prompt on my iphone to update my apple ID settings. It required me to change my password and for some reason logged me out of messages on my mac. It seemed that it couldn’t connect to the iMessages service and that may have triggered a security warning.

Did anybody else have that happen to them around 12:30 pm CST?

I’m not sure this is the same thing but noticed that on one paired set of HomePods minis, I see a Red Account when looking at it in the home app. When I press and hold, I see at the top the message:

Update your iCloud account password below for this HomePod.

I’ve not seen that before.
