I just did an incredibly stupid thing and accidentally shared my location on a group spam text. I was blocking the number and shared my location.
I turned off the location feature in privacy. What else should I do? Thank you!
I don’t know that I’d be all that worried. Hopefully you weren’t at home when you did that, but even then, I wouldn’t worry much about it.
It would be helpful to know what app you shared your location in, as all you really need to do is cancel the share if possible.
Are you in witness protection? Do you have an angry spouse or co-worker who is under a restraining order to stay away from you you don’t trust? Are you in a rural area with little to no quick access to law enforcement?
IMO if the answer to those questions is no then you have little to worry about. If one or more is a yes, and you think the recipients of the spam message may be part of the group or persons looking to do you harm I’d take whatever steps necessary you need to do to be able to defend yourself.
