Just a heads up to everyone who wants to try Vibecoding for personalized apps. XCode is completely free for macOS apps. No paid developer account required.
I think vibe-coding for Swift using Claude or simialr is terrific - you own the full source code when it is done and you can move it anywhere you wish.
Glaze seems misleading. They say you “own” the IP to your app; but the code it creates is dependent on the Glaze infrastructure. So you cannot easily move it elsewhere.
A huge benefit of vibe coding is that you cannot be forced to remain tied to some company. Glaze fails that test.

Cool! But since I need apps to run on both Macos, an Android tablet and Android phones I am stuck firmly in the PWA or I guess Electron worlds. Plus I don’t have to learn how to code in Swift or some version of C…
