Wallpaper aerials not shuffling

The subject line sums it up.

I picked up a new MBA a couple of weeks ago, and it’s been since then that I’ve noticed the issue (though I can’t be 100% certain it wasn’t happening on the machine I traded in).

I’ve set the wallpaper to shuffle aerials, but it doesn’t. It grabs the first image in whichever shuffle set I’ve selected, and then it never changes.

Has anyone else encountered this? It’s an admittedly minor issue, but suggestions would be appreciated.

Can’t say I have seen this one… but on both an M1 Pro MBP and M4 Pro MBP I noticed that a screen saver that was “dynamic” (like the retro Macintosh one, the last few OSes that have the wallpaper that turns into a screensaver, etc), they would just randomly freeze. The “old” ones were fine, like Flurry and photo shuffles. But the newer ones would not run without glitching.
