Watch purchase help

I am interested primarily in the sleep apnea feature and a general upgrade on my Series 4 (battery is getting a little questionable). Wondering if I should go for a 10 or buy a 9 on Amazon for $100 less?

The 10 doesn’t seem to have any other features besides slightly thinner and newer processor. Am I missing anything? What would you do?

Since you only upgrade every 6 generations, I’d go ahead and spend the extra $100 to get the latest watch. If you keep it as long as the one you have now, that’s about $1 per month extra.

I agree. I have a 9 and it’s great, but in addition to the points you mention, the redesign means it’s going to look dated a lot faster than the 10 will.

+1. Go with the 10. If you want to save $, consider a used 8. I am not expert in model evolution but I understand the 9 and 8 are not very different.

I don’t believe the 8 will get the sleep apnea feature I want so it’s either 9 or 10 for me.

You are right. My error.

“The feature will be supported on Apple Watch Series 9, Apple Watch Series 10, and Apple Watch Ultra 2.”

The 9 also has twice as much storage and has some additional/upgraded features.

If you have AppleCare and battery integrity falls below either 79 or 69% (one of the two) they will replace it.
