Watch showing time at night

I have an Apple Watch 8. Can I put it on a charger on its side and have the time display through the night? One key is that I do use the Sleep Focus mode on my phone.

The goal is for me NOT to pick up my phone to see the time. I just want to glance at something.

There is a setting for “Bedside Mode” that can be enabled, at least there is for my series 11.

Where can that setting be found? I’ve been looking for it but maybe not in the right spot. Thanks.

Go to settings, general, and find nightstand mode.

Thanks. I will now get a charger!

Ok, so after a few days of not getting it to work as I assumed it would, I called Apple Support. I’m awaiting a call back because there is no clarity. I also did some digging on the web and maybe what I want does not exist.

For the Apple Watch, can I get it to show the time all night long? Even when in nightstand mode, it goes off. I have to tap the face (or knock the table) and it will display the time.

It’s possible I can do this with the phone in horizontal mode but now I’m doubting whether I can do it with the watch.

Can anyone confirm they can do this with their watch? I have an Apple Watch 8.

I don’t believe you can keep the watch’s nightstand mode always on, as you can with the phone.
