Waze - what does this mean?

I’m now using Waze on CarPlay. So much better than Apple Maps. Just one thing I cannot figure out what the number in a figure stands for. It is sometimes there an there doesn’t seem to be an logic to it. I am sure that there is a simple solution and I have tried using Google. Any ideas - see the attached… thanks

Distance to the next navigation point, in your case it looks like a roundabout. Esp useful when you have long distances to cover - you get a hint that you can stay “straight ahead” for quite some time.

The number against a roundabout is which exit you take i.e. 4 = 4th exit.

Next nav point is a roundabot or traffic circle or rotary (depending on the taxonomy of such things wherever you are) and the number inside is which exit in the roundish thingy you will need to take.

Thanks makes more sense. The number doesn’t go down as I approach my next junction so it isn’t the distance. So, the exit from the roundabout (UK English!) seems logical. Thanks.

Guess it’s time to check out Waze, that’s a lot more useful than Apple Maps.

The distance to the junction is shown just to the right – your circle partly obscures it, but I think the distance in your image is 1.3 miles. THAT number should tick down as you zip along at 5 mph over the speed limit.

Waze is better in every regard than Google and Apple Maps in my opinion.

Except in one regard - Lane Assist isn’t present.

Surprised it doesn’t have lane assist but really should
