Now has got to be the time right? I will never switch from Adobe Premiere unless I can run Final Cut on the Mini. Im not a fan of DaVinci Resolve, so if I am going to use Lumafusion on my Mini, I will just stay with Premiere on the Mac.
Apple loves selling subscriptions so I’ll put the odds at 100%.
Given that they want to push the Pro angle of the software and the iPad Mini is not currently described as a Pro device, I think less than 10%
I’m old? I can barely use video editing on a 15" laptop screen and quickly rush to my desktop Mac Studio as soon as I am near it.
Can’t fathom editing on a 13" iPad, or smaller.
And that is ignoring all the differences of using a touch-first sheet of glass versus a computer with proper input devices.
(Not about the actual NLE or pricing/licensing, just questioning the utility of an iPad as an edit station for any serious work. Ok, I will fully admit I do not edit TikTok, Reels, Shorts, or any other fad video.)
Apple did it. I bought it. Traded in my iPad Pro 11" (2018) and gave away my Ipad Mini 6.
Movie studio in my man purse.
It’s less purple and less fun. 6th gen vs 7th gen from Apple’s Newsroom. 7 is using iPad Air’s washed-out and boring colours, all of which border on looking gray.
Yes, I put them side by side when mine arrived. Apple really sucks at colors.
