My work/company laptop is an M1 MacBook Pro w 16GB and and M1 Pro. Been great overall.
They gave me a USB-C to HDMI cable that’s been plugged into my external monitor for 2.5 years and for reasons it pulled at an angle I don’t like. I want to grab another newer cable, ideally a little longer.
What do you recommend? The current one is Tripp Lite, has USB-C on one end and HDMI Male on the other I think, and a little rectangular box in the middle of the cable, maybe 2.5"-3" long.
What do you like for these? Thanks!
I use one of these when out and about to connect to HDMI.

I found the official Apple adaptors work in most places. I’ve had a few generic ones before and they can have a lot of issues with certain displays. The official one has worked wherever I’ve tried it. So, if you are going to be using a lot of different setups and travel to venues, then I recommend the Apple one. If you are using the same screen/setup always a cheaper one will likely suffice (and you can return it if it doesn’t work!)
I use an adaptor from Belkin that (if I remember it correctly) I bought from Apple’s online store. Whatever you choose, if it’s important to you (it is to me), make sure that it’s HDCP compatible.
