Where do we stand now with Chrome extensions on macOS Safari?

I seem to remember some discussion of this at a recent WWDC but don’t remember where it ended up.

Would LOVE to be able to get one of my very fav extensions on Safari.

They can be developed in the same way, but the developer must still submit it through the App Store. You’ll have to reach out to them to see if they’re planning on it.

If the developer hasn’t released a Safari version yet, you can port Chrome extensions to Safari yourself for personal use. You will need Xcode. I believe you don’t need a paid developer account.

Orion uses Safari’s engine under the hood. We can install Chrome and Firefox extensions in it.
