WiFi Calling intermittent

iPhone Xs, latest iOS.

Lately I’ve noticed WiFi calling is hit or miss. I’ve rebooted the iPhone, turned off (then back on) WiFi calling. It shows enabled in the Settings app, but does not always show as I’d expect in the top left of the display.

Any suggestions? (I’ve not tried Reset Network Settings. That’ll be my last resort.)

My sequence (on my X) is:

  1. Turn off wifi calling
  2. Forget the network
  3. Shut down the phone
  4. Boot the phone
  5. Connect to the network (with password)
  6. Turn on wifi calling

Doesn’t take much time to do this.
