Windows disappearing from desktop driving me nuts

In macOS Sonoma the open windows have started to move away from the desktop when I (accidentally click on it.
How can I turn this OFF ?

Turn off Click wallpaper to reveal desktop in Desktop & Dock settings:

System Settings → Desktop & Dock → Click wallpaper to reveal desktop needs to be set to Only in Stage Manager for this to be off.
