Hi, been looking for a text tool that can show word suggestions.
similar to what the default iOS keyboard displays above the keyboard.
WordQ has been the only suggestion so far.
Also found Read&Write.
Thanks!
Also found TypoTab, but will check Cotypist first since it’s free while I’m beta
Installed and loving it so far, thanks for the recommendation!
I came here to check who else was using this pretty amazing little app. I have been looking for a windows equivalent for my non-mac colleagues but doesn’t seem to exist.
Totally blown away by it. It’s not perfect but it’s a huge improvement over anything else I’ve seen.
Would absolutely love this on iphone to replace the shoddy autocorrect and predictive text on iOS!
Also I plan to pay for this once the (pretty responsive) developer starts charging for it.
If this is with respect to Cotypist at one point the pricing was € 10 per month. The website now shows ??? per month.
I was an early beta tester and in an email exchange I stated € 120 per year was much more than I was willing to spend on such a utility, especially as all processing is local (and thus there are no costs to the developer for my use of the app). He responded it would save me more than that in time. I told him I was clearly not the target market. I’ve since removed it from my system.
Overall I found it useful but no compelling.
It will be interesting to see what the final pricing is.
$120 per year?! I think tools like Keyboard Maestro are much more valuable and at a fixed price, tools for which I gladly pay each year to update, even if Peter isn’t asking me for it.
I think the pricing is a bit steep.
Edit: Found this tool https://www.supercomplete.ai which offers the same functionality, and a lifetime deal at US$60.
that’s interesting. never saw his proposed pricing but i’ve found it to be often surprisingly useful even as a fast typist.
Crazy how every app has multiple clones. I guess competition is good though.
I came across the same thing with Typeless (amazing audio to text) leading me to discover Wispr Flow. The latter I switched to since it seemed better and offered a ios app not just macos.
