Just for fun, what accent colour are you using in Mojave?
I’m personally using orange. I think it looks great in both light and dark modes, and it also happens to be my favourite colour!

Honestly that is quite surprising to me!
Red. I have been using a red highlight for years. I picked it up from a customer. There was so much blue in the interface that red stood out a lot
