"Zeiss Brillen Reinigungstücher" for MacBook screen

I have a MacBook Pro M1 with s regular Retina screen. The screen needs a serious clean, and I’m going to use “Zeiss Brillen Reinigungstücher” for this. Is it safe enough? Chemisty wasn’t my favorite subject in school.

I know, there are “Zeiss Display Reinigungstücher”, “Zeiss Lens Cleaning Wipes”, and “Whoosh! Screen Shine Wipes”, which might be better, but they are not sold in Russia.

Are they alcohol-free? I would get an alcohol-free screen cleaner bottle and fine cloth, like a lens polishing cloth or maybe a finer microfiber cloth. I haven’t used Zeiss but Whoosh spray + cleanable cloth works better than the individually wrapped, pre-moistened wipes.

I am a serious Wooosh! user and I found that it doesn’t work on Mx screens. The Mx screens have a special coating. I use a barely damp microfiber cloth and that works perfectly.

Apple writes: “If your Apple Studio Display has nano-texture glass, clean it only using the included polishing cloth. (…) If your Studio Display has standard glass, clean it using a microfiber cloth lightly dampened with water. (…) For infrequent cleaning of hard-to-remove substances on nano-texture glass or standard glass, you can use a 70% Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) solution. (…)”

I use this from time to time to clean all my Apple displays. 70% Isopropyl Alcohol is usually sold very cheaply in 1 liter bottles, and you can fill it to a small spray bottle, then you can easily use it and keep it together with a simple microfiber cloth at your desk. You can also use it to clean eyeglasses beyond many other things.

Apple also writes: “Never spray cleaner directly on the screen. It may drip inside the display and cause damage. (…) Shut down your Mac and disconnect its power cord and any connected devices. Dampen a clean, soft, lint-free cloth with water, then wipe the screen.”
