Omnifocus is $150 as a one-off purchase, which gives you access to Mac, iPad and IOS (web is extra). It also gives you a 50% discount on new major version upgrades. I’ve had it for years on that basis and although the initial purchase was painful (I had to buy iPad and iOS separately originally) it has turned out to be very fair pricing.
Thanks for the clarification, somehow I missed that. A one-time purchase with a future discount certainly makes it a more palatable investment.
Is it one-time for a specific version? Or lifetime?
Funny old world isn’t it! I sometimes wish we had buttons we could push to ban posts that mention Devon think, Vision Pro, obsidian, god, using iPads only, subscriptions, not-subscriptions, all task managers, and Tim Cook. Oh, and Star Wars, of course!
It’s for a specific version and then the upgrade for the next major version is half that. You end up paying the upgrade price every four or so years.
Kind of a bummer that people are ducking and covering from the mention of OF. I just think it’s fun to share what we’re doing with whatever tools we’re using. No burnout or financial damage intended with my earlier post.
Given you used a small “g” for god, I was fine until you got to banning Star Wars. That is going too far! Have a heart!
Star Wars! I’m bitter.
My first book is called Rolling Rocks Downhill.
I emailed George Lucas to see if I could write a sequel called Rolling Ewoks Downhill and he never replied.
That is actually very funny! I tried to get ChatGPT to create an image depicting that but refused, something about copyright.
this is the “best” it would do.
As noted, OmniFocus 4 Pro is a one-off purchase at $149.99 (USD). OmniFocus 4 Standard is also available for $74.99 (USD). OmniFocus Standard doesn’t include Focus Mode, Custom Perspectives, some Forecast features, or Automation features (Omni Automation and AppleScript), but it could be a good place to start for some people.
More pricing information is available here:
The OmniFocus page on Omni’s website also provides information on Standard and Pro features.
In that case, you’d love my book on Chinese cookery - Rolling woks downhill.
And, I wonder if you’d like to see a video I put together with my hit single “Rolling Ricks Downill” - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ?
I could do this all day
Actually, on a slightly more serious note, I have only watched 2 Star Wars movies all the way through - there was the one with ewoks on a planet, and one with jar jar binks.
I’m not sure if they’re the best Star Wars movies.
I looked at this some time ago, but there was something missing (maybe Start Dates?). Anyway, I downloaded the trial today and I’m impressed.
I have to say I can understand where @Clarke_Ching is coming from. I really enjoyed the three episodes that were released before debut of the Macintosh. And one since.
Just for clarity: those are my preferences, and I just mute or ignore the topics that don’t interest me.
And … I don’t like Star Trek either. Or hobbits.
There are also good educational discounts
They are not the best!
Maybe Karl, you should take 5 deep breaths before you comment? That was just rude.
I gave an honest reaction. Some others apparently agreed with me.
Honest doesn’t have to mean rude.
The post that I replied to had displayed a four-letter word in the meme that was posted.
The first guideline in the FAQ for the MPU forum is “Be polite” and I didn’t think the use of crude language rose to that standard.
My short reply is still available above and forum members can decide for themselves if I was rude in my response.
