I do too, just wish Apple Pay was an accepted method. 1% on my Amazon transactions isnāt too much to complain about. Iām not really into the Amazon credit card, but I really limit the number of cards I get - Apple Card was my first new card in about 10 years
Edit - I see the problem, my post made it sound like Apple Card isnāt accepted at all when in fact you can add the card manually like any other - Iāve fixed that, good catch

Iād not seen the Amex changes, and it seems like I may stop using it for big purchases. I too buy bigger items on an Amex card for the extended warranty (Although I do it for Apple purchases too, since Amex will extend an extended warranty from the manufacturer). I may have to look at other cards to use just for big purchases if they cut it back on my cards too much. Or unless the Apple Card adds some protection.
AmEx has so many different cards itās hard to know which will be cut back, in what ways. That article said that extended warranties will be cut back from 2 years to 1 yearā¦ but my own card (which has the variants Blue, Blue Cash, Clear, and Blue Sky) only offered an extra 1 year maximum, so I donāt know where it will fall when the changes come.
My Apple Card purchases seems roughly divided between 1% and 2% back, so if AmEx removes the extended warranty benefit thereās little reason to continue to use that card, even though Iāve had excellent customer service with them for many years.
The wild card for me has been my Visa card, which offers 2% back on all purchases ($50 paid after every $2500 spent), plus non-expiring pointsā¦ but no extended warranty. With the privacy aspect of the Apple Card, Iām still more apt to go with it (unless I rent a car and want the Visa cardās auto rental collision damage waiver).
