Apple Pay is Magic

That’s a strange limit in the UK unfortunately, and one apparently dependent on merchant, as Tesco, Aldi and IKEA were reported to have scrapped limits a couple of years ago in the UK. I’ve switched to the Apple Card for my non-Amazon purchases here in the USA and I haven’t hit a contactless limit yet, with my largest contactless buy being around US $100 at the supermarket. (Though it might have been for a $200 item at my local Apple Store.)

In the U.K., vendors can accept contactless payments, which has a limit of £45 now (was £30 until recently). Apple Pay can be used at these locations, subject to the same limit.

If the vendor specifically accepts Apple Pay then there is no limit on the payment.
