Let’s have a standard BF & CM thread with the deals, as some are already up and running:
Backblaze has 30% off until 30/11 for new users (code CYBRBLZ24).
Proton has some discounts, as every November, but it’s hard to say how much exactly as I’m only seeing them on upgrade options when logged into my Proton Unlimited account.
Working Copy git client for iOS is currently offering a 33% discount (not related to BF, so it may expire sooner) – it’s showing €15 instead of €25 for me right now for a year of updates (Anders also announced today that he is working on Working Copy for Mac, which will be a separate purchase).
I particularly appreciated the “don’t buy any Field Guides right now” direction.
And it makes sense. Otherwise he’d have a whole bunch of potential “can I get the discounted price” or “can I get a refund of the difference” types of requests. But it’s cool that he dealt with it preemptively.
There are a few goodies here. Including Quick Capture for Obsidian - which is a great little iPhone app to get a note into an Obsidian vault without opening Obsidian mobile.
Bundlehunt: Permute down to $4.50 USD, Downie for $7.99, Mountain Duck for $7, and similar discounts on other more obscure apps. Plus an additional discount if you buy enough apps.
Ergonis apps (Typinator/Keycue/PopChar) are 33% off with coupon code BLACK.
Proton is offering a Proton Pass Plus lifetime deal for $199 USD through December 3rd. This also includes SimpleLogin premium features for managing email aliases either with your own domains or the ones that are already included.
I’ve been using it alongside Bitwarden (which I’ve been using for the past few years) and I feel that Proton Pass is a solid and well designed password manager. The SimpleLogin integration works really well for generating new email aliases when setting up a new account with an online service or a retailer.
