Black Friday & Cyber Monday 2024 Deals

I think I’ve seen that Anybox offer previously (maybe when I first signed up) but haven’t seen it again. I’ve been looking for it as I like it enough to get a lifetime purchase for that cost.

It’s confusing now because the website says there’s a sale but if I look at the Mac app or the iOS app, it shows the $39.99 price. I’m guessing that the sale actually starts on Black Friday but it goes til 12/3.

The key thing is says is that after you purchase it, you need to unsubscribe to the monthly plan.

I saw that price as well, It wasn’t until I updated the app that the discounted price is shown.

That did the trick. Thanks. Never would’ve thought to have done that. Now I have a week to decide!

To take advantage, enter promo code THX24 when subscribing.

This isn’t just a one-year discount, you’ll stay on the discounted plan perpetually.

Picked up Anybox. While I still prefer Goodlinks, Anybox is a decent app to have in your armory.

33% off BetterTouchTool Lifetime. I use Keyboard Maestro more than BTT but recently, I use the Magic Mouse more and I find that BTT is indispensable in helping me trigger KM macro. I have a double tap to move a window to the central of the screen. Control-double tap will show my conflict palette where I have a choice of windows position on the screen (some of these trigger KM macro, some triggers Moom4 layout). Control-left swipe/right swipe will move the window to the right and left, to get it out of the way.
This is to say, get BTT, even if you are a KM diehard!

Also picked up Anybox, it’s a gorgeous app and leagues ahead of Raindrop!

Am I correct in that Anybox is more of a bookmark manager and Goodlinks is a read it later app?

Yes, that’s right. Both apps can perform bookmark management and read-it-later functions. However, Anybox is more comprehensive and powerful as a bookmark manager, while Goodlinks offers a more enjoyable read-it-later experience than Anybox. Based on my experience, I’d say that Anybox is better for bookmark management and Goodlinks for read-it-later.

Hey folks, at Tower, we’re having a Black Friday sale for new customers: enjoy 30% off any Tower plan, no coupon needed.

If you don’t know Tower: it’s a native Git client for Mac (also available on Windows), designed to make Git easy (and actually enjoyable!) to use. We’re well aware that there are many Git options available, so below you can learn what sets Tower apart.

What makes Tower “easy”?

  • Single-line staging is as easy as selecting lines.
  • Undo with CMD+Z or CTRL+Z for ANY Git operation.
  • Drag and Drop for operations like merge or interactive rebase. You can learn more about this feature here.

Despite being so intuitive, Tower is a premium Git client, which means that it comes with many advanced features you won’t find anywhere else. Here are some examples:

  • Syntax Coloring
  • Branch comparison
  • Stacked Branches support
  • Commit Template support
  • Manage Environment variables
  • Review GitHub Pull Requests in Tower
  • GPG and SSH support (including 1Password integration)

If you’re on the fence, there’s a 30-day trial available - no registration is needed to try it out.

Sindre Sorhus’ paid apps are 50% off (with a few exceptions) until December 2nd!

If you’re not familiar with Sindre, give all the apps a once-over, you’re very likely to find something useful to you.

These are exactly my thoughts also.
There is one thing where Goodlinks excel is that its Chrome Extension can work on Windows. So if you’re at work and you get sent a link that you want your personal self to be able to read or bookmark, I use Goodlinks for that.

iStat Menus is 50% off, though it just says “for Black Friday”, so I don’t know the dates:

Bartender 5 is $10, but with the controversy, I went with Ice. Worth it to come back to Bartender 5?

TunnaBelly apps are all discounted (including TG Pro – the temperature monitoring and fan control app, and lifetime access to QR Factory 3):

Proton has also announced that they are offering 50% off on all yearly plans now.

Craft has 50% off for life, and they’ve just launched version 3. Quite a bargain.

I’m tempted to give it a go for more fully-fledged editing capability than UpNote.

Edit: Not sure where to enter the discount code… in the checkout process it says it’s invalid.

Why not subscribe to Setapp instead? Craft + a ton of other great apps like NotePlan for a single subscription.

I use STM only for 1 purpose - to be able to paste password on a specific banking website in the login form.

ah shit, here we go again. Now I have to evaluate if this really fits in within my workflow. Does Craft have a reliable offline mode? (I already have a setapp sub but I don’t think it includes the same things as the craft plans).
