Given how bad macOS 26 was received I’m debating updating to 15.7 to 27.0. I may just hold off until 27.1 or 27.2.
What are your experiences with 27.0? Especially if you’re updating from macOS 15?

No issues here. Works great on my Macs (Mini and MBP). But then againb, I didn’t have much of an issue with MacOS 26 either.
I’ve been having a great experience with macOS 27.
I didn’t think 26 was bad, but definitely had frequent weird bugs. 27 has been flawless for me, and feels quicker in many ways.

I skipped Tahoe and upgraded to macOS 27 from 15.7.
I had one minor problem with Arqbackup being unable to access a few unimportant files in ~/Library. I eliminated them from the backup and haven’t had another problem. Other than needing to change a few settings that GG set back to default.

Which settings needed to be reset?
I don’t recall, nothing major.
When something doesn’t work exactly like it did before an update, I check settings. I’ve been doing that so long it’s automatic. 
I don’t think the question is only about performance. I think weighing up all your data being in the new context aware semantic AI database that you may not be not be able to delete on some devices is far more important.

My question was more about bugs and finally resolving the issues of macOS 26 rather than performance. The OFF switch for Apple’s AI toolkit is another matter. There are many apps which (stupidlyj require macOS26 and personally I would rather skip 26 than suffer it for those apps.

Out of curiosity, why were you so hesitant about 26 but jumping right into 27 before the first .1 update?
A bit of FOMO plus missing the few 26 positives. But you make a goood point about waiting to the next point release.
Incidentally I read you message with less than 1 minute left on the download of macOS 27 and stopped the installation for now at least.
I was just curious. I usually wait until the .1 or .2 release. In regards to 27, when I do download it, I’m going to turn off all Siri and Apple Intelligence as I did in 26. I have no need for it.
In previous years I’ve taken the same approach, even to updating 5-6 months after release of the OS. This is just FOMO combined with some time off work so I have more mental bandwidth for reading RSS and considering updates.
As a long time Mac user since 2006 and one who isn’t finding much use for the new Siri AI features, macOS 27 really is just macOS 26 with a few visual tweaks and a transparency slider.
