So this is a dumb question – in iOS 15, if I’m using my phone, and a notification banner appears at the top of the screen, how do I dismiss and clear it? Apple’s help page talks about pulling down and then swiping up to dismiss it, but that only dismisses the notification. It still stays behind in Notification Center, so I end up having to interact with it twice. I feel like I’m being dense here.
So purely by accident, I may have figured this out. When the screen is on and unlocked, I found in very limited testing that when a notification drops from the top of the screen, after I long press to view it, I can keep dragging it down like I’m flicking it off the bottom of the screen, and it is gone for good.
