iPad for Zoom in Home Study on a Rainy Day

I use my iPad on a nice stand in my home study to conduct Zoom calls and other work. This works well as I can use the iPad as the primary Zoom screen while taking notes on the MBP. It is especially nice to work from home on a rainy day!

Why not use it the other way around and use the iPad to take notes? (Guess the answer is because you type faster on the MBP)

It looks even nicer considering I am currently under the scorching Madrid summer sun!

Because I can elevate the iPad on the stand. I prefer people not looking up my nostrils on a Zoom call. I don’t have a stand at home for my MBP. :slightly_smiling_face:

With the relocated camera, this is a great setup. In fact, the camera location is probably the greatest factor in pushing me to replace my old iPad soon. I could always elevate the iPad, but the camera location to the side in landscape mode has always made it subpar for video calls.

At least you don’t have the giant fingers syndrome that suffer people with certain Dell laptops.

That is a beautiful office, Apple gear or not.

It does look a very nice office  I do hope you have a clock ticking somewhere in the background?

I never thought something like that would be on Apple Music. :notes:

Then, there are these in the App Store:

There is this!

On sale and free shipping, what a deal! If the company can reduce the price by $9K and still make money, there must be a high margin on it!

Decisions, decisions, $30K or $1.99?

Things @Bmosbacker 's office photos make me want to do:

  • Clean my desk
  • Shelve my books
  • Buy nicer curtains
  • Upgrade my lamps
  • Ban my kids from my house

I’ve already done that! :joy: Being an empty nester has its benefits.:slightly_smiling_face:

I should add that I’m a neatnik. I did not clean up the desk for a photo. I just hate messes. :slightly_smiling_face::broom:

I think you should return the M4 IPP and accessories and put the money toward the real grandfather clock. Necessities should come first.

That’s an idea, that would shave $2000 off, which would only leave me a mere $28,000. :slightly_smiling_face:

I feel like your office is of more interest and inspiration to people (and rightfully so imho) than your usage of your iPad .

I also really like that style of your office - mines complete different style now but maybe when I’m getting a bit older  .

God has providentially blessed me with a nice home, which includes the study. Humanly speaking, having a few nice things has taken many years of hard work and sound financial management. I don’t take any of it for granted.

I, too, was surprised by the comments on the study vs using the iPad for Zoom calls. :slightly_smiling_face: But, on the other hand, much “ink” has already been used on the iPad issue, so I probably should not be surprised. There is only so much that can be said about using the iPad. :slightly_smiling_face:
