Linking to an Apple Note

I’m making a conscious effort to organize where I put various stuff I write as it has become a giant mess. I’ve decided to research Apple Notes and I’m surprised at a lot of the things it does now. (I haven’t looked at it in a bunch of years.) I like the simplicity and am planning sticking to it. But I may have one issue that I’m hoping to get around.

Is it possible to link to an individual Apple Note that then works across all my devices? I see the value in having a direct link from a repeating Omnifocus task to some instructions/notes.

Unless I’m missing something obvious, I don’t see a way to do that. So then I started thinking about alternatives. I have access to Hookmark via Setapp but from what I understand, that only works on the Mac.

They have this since iOS 17. Check out here.

Thank you. That instruction by jmanko16 in that post does what I need after one test. Not very quick or elegant but it seems to work across my devices.

I will leave this here, but trying it again it is quite messy.

You could try Alto it is in the app store - that link may go to the UK site. It creates links between notes reminders and safari.

The website is here. It is early days but the developer is regularly posting updates. As he says on the site

Welcome to alto.computer.
It’s a macOS app to help you work with  Apple Notes and Apple Mail apps.
We are starting with a simple tools:
*quickly copy link for the selected individual apple note
*view backlinks for the selected note
*copy link for the selected email in the mail app
*create Apple Reminder from the selected Apple Note, email or Safari tab.

You can also use it to post your apple notes online. It is a bit fiddly at first - I warn you!

There’s also Pronotes which lets you get the link to an apple note in 1 click now along with other useful stuff (backlinks list, format bar etc.) and is free, although I’m a bit sour that I paid 20$ for it before it went free and now the developer adds a subscription and gatekeeps the ai helper behind it (to which I originally had access with the 20$ purchase). He never addressed those who paid previously afaict.
