With OTP Auth app it’s not from scratch setup, and no you don’t have to go back to any of the sites. It’s just simply duplicating existing details. You shouldn’t be doing it manually. And you’re copying rather than moving.
I displayed QR codes in OTP Auth and scanned them using Apple Passwords iOS camera mode. I did 50 codes in less than 30 minutes. After you’ve done a couple and are in the groove they take about 20 seconds each. Easy.
But, I’ve not done Authy to Passwords so I don’t know if or how different that process might be. From what I’ve read Authy might lock you in to their service.
That is a good write-up. I have a genuine question: why not use an iPad with the pencil? If you already have an iPad, that would be one less device to manage and a tap with the pencil on the screen immediately opens a note to work on. I also use ANs in a way similar to what you showed.
I ask myself why I don’t do this same thing, but I don’t, and the Remarkable is tempting me. I don’t find any aspect of writing on the iPad Pro to be enjoyable.
That makes sense. I’ve heard others say the same thing. This must be a matter of individual personalities and tendencies. I don’t find myself distracted. I have all notifications and badges off except for my calendar and task manager, and the only apps I have on my iPad are productivity and reading apps except for DirecTV and Apple TV+ (which I only use when traveling). I don’t play games, I’m not on social media, and everything else on my iPad is pretty boring.
I’ve got the remarkable 1 and don’t like it. My biggest gripe is that about 1.5cm around the edge is a no write zone as the pen doesn’t write there properly. It also locks you in to their sync sub.
Safari to Firefox
Apple Mail to Thunderbird
Scapple to Obsidian
Scrivener to Obsidian
Bookpedia to Obsidian (Still in progress)
Zotero to Obsidian (For the storage of the scientific papers and linking within them but still use Zotero for creating bibliographies)
Kindle to Kobo for all ebook purchases
Timetable 4 back to Timetable 3 and it provides the minimal report I need and 4 doesn’t
Some I’m considering removing

Mindnode I never use it
I would like to remove the following from all my Apple devices but not yet sure I can do that without some issue cropping up. I never use any of them.
Notes, Numbers, Pages, Reminders
Amazon locking down Kindle so that I can’t DeDRM them so I can read them on the device of my choosing and keep a backup copy so I am not subject to suddenly getting a new version when I don’t want it or having something I paid a license to read suddenly taken away has me moving all new book purchases to either direct from author (preferred) or from Kobo. I can still DeDRM Kobo books.
I do NOT share the copies nor do I read my electronic books on more than one device at a time (similar to shared or duplicated copies) I do feel that authors deserve to get payment for their efforts but I am not going to stand by and let Amazon dictate how I handle the material I have paid to access.
I haven’t tried the RM1, but the RM2 doesn’t have any screen no write zones.
I understand people who don’t want Subs, but for £36 a year (if you pay monthly, I can’t find it, but I think it’s £30 a year if you pay annually) I think it’s reasonable.
RM now also allow linking of Dropbox or Google Cloud.
I’ve also done Bartender → Ice recently, and my clipboard history (which I use all the time) used to come from Alfred, but I’ve now switched to using Maccy.
Also Spotify → Tidal. That was much easier to transition than I expected, and I like, sometimes, finding and listening to the tracks on albums in the order in which they were published originally, which I always found challenging on Spotify, Also higher quality if wanted, though my bachelor days of having good hifi equipment are long behind me.
I’m another who has gone Kindle → Kobo. Amazon’s removal of downloads was the trigger, but I’ve realised since that Amazon has become much more trouble than it is worth these days. By the time you’ve fought your way through all the sponsored and recommended stuff you don’t want, it’s very hard to find something you do.
I love reading on my Kobo Libra Colour (I had a windfall which cushioned the pain of buying it) and I’ve found the Kobo Plus subscription works well for me, much better than the Kindle equivalent ever did.
