Wallet Power Users

My wallet is struggling with the Velcro refusing to attach to hold itself closed.

It’s not the end of the world, but I’m starting to look around.

I tend to carry 4 plastic cards. A book of stamps, a Chipolo AirTag type thing, a few coins and some receipts.

I use Apple Wallet extensively otherwise.

What are you packing folks? (Without sharing any personal info)

I am using this one: Hide & Seek: Wallet With Hidden Pocket | Bellroy

I have a combination of seven cards/IDs, an AirTag and cash (bills).

Most days I just carry my driver’s license and one credit card in a magsafe wallet from Distil Union, and a couple of bills in a money clip. When I need to carry more I use a compact wallet from the same company.

I like the Bellroy products. I had a Bellroy Flip Wallet (it’s still in my drawer) but it doesn’t hold enough cards, there’s no space for change or for an AirTag or Chipolo

I have an AirTag in mine with seven cards. Have haven’t had coins for years but I do carry cash in the wallet.

What’s a “coin”?

It’s those flat round things in a jar that you have been meaning to take to the bank since before covid.

…Never mind…took a sec to realize you folks are discussing physical wallets - not the iOS app

If you want something that doesn’t break the bank I have been using this for a couple of years. The air tag holder has come in handy.

I have this one, Alpaka, pretty happy with it

It doesn’t have any branding so it took me a while to find who made it

I picked up one of these years ago. I have been happy with it. That version may be too narrow for the width of some UK or EU notes/bills but they carry a variety of sizes and styles.

I tend to find a lot of hair bands from the blessed-with-hair humans in my house, so I turned one into my wallet. If I ever lose my wallet, it’s easily replaced…

14 years and still holding up.

I purchased these at a Costco roadshow and have been very happy with them.

I’ve been using one of these: Cardprotector Aluminium MagSafe Stand Graphite Grijs

This was my first time using a smaller wallet, with it being Macsafe there is no need for an AirTag, and I fit around 5-6 cards in this.

I don’t use cash at all so find this suits my needs well. The design is also “satisfying” in that it feels really nice to eject the cards, it has become my go to fidget device if I feel the need for one!

I’ve never considered that approach. I tried something similar by inserting cards and cash into a money clip, but that did not work well. Your solution is inexpensive  and has little bulk.

I have this one and it’s been great!

I have been using this paper wallet for since 2017 now:

Very sturdy, slim, minimalist and holds quite a lot (8 cards for me, some coins, bills). It’s minimalist design also helps it blend in with most aesthetics I feel. Still in excellent shape and condition. Highly recommended

I switched to the Ridge wallet with the AirTag money clip. I know in Europe cash usage is different, so your relationship may vary.

Notwithstanding my earlier reply that I tried this in the past and it did not work, I decided to rummage around in my dresser drawer for the carbon fiber money clip I purchased years ago. I discovered it can hold my seven cards and cash in a very lightweight, thin profile. I’m going to give this a try for a few weeks. It is much less bulky than my wallet.
