Most days I just carry my driver’s license and one credit card in a magsafe wallet from Distil Union, and a couple of bills in a money clip. When I need to carry more I use a compact wallet from the same company.
I like the Bellroy products. I had a Bellroy Flip Wallet (it’s still in my drawer) but it doesn’t hold enough cards, there’s no space for change or for an AirTag or Chipolo
I picked up one of these years ago. I have been happy with it. That version may be too narrow for the width of some UK or EU notes/bills but they carry a variety of sizes and styles.
I tend to find a lot of hair bands from the blessed-with-hair humans in my house, so I turned one into my wallet. If I ever lose my wallet, it’s easily replaced…
This was my first time using a smaller wallet, with it being Macsafe there is no need for an AirTag, and I fit around 5-6 cards in this.
I don’t use cash at all so find this suits my needs well. The design is also “satisfying” in that it feels really nice to eject the cards, it has become my go to fidget device if I feel the need for one!
I’ve never considered that approach. I tried something similar by inserting cards and cash into a money clip, but that did not work well. Your solution is inexpensive and has little bulk.
I have been using this paper wallet for since 2017 now:
Very sturdy, slim, minimalist and holds quite a lot (8 cards for me, some coins, bills). It’s minimalist design also helps it blend in with most aesthetics I feel. Still in excellent shape and condition. Highly recommended
Notwithstanding my earlier reply that I tried this in the past and it did not work, I decided to rummage around in my dresser drawer for the carbon fiber money clip I purchased years ago. I discovered it can hold my seven cards and cash in a very lightweight, thin profile. I’m going to give this a try for a few weeks. It is much less bulky than my wallet.
