I’m working on my PhD in Applied Physiology (not physics). I study how sensory loss affects the way we do motor tasks, such as reach and grasp. This research relates primarily to people with upper-extremity amputation. I use a prosthesis that can be used by people without amputation to simulate prosthesis use by a person with amputation. I collect and analyze behavioral (kinematic), electroencephalographic, and functional MRI data, and will be adding eye tracking to the mix soon. Essentially, my research is cognitive neuroscience and biomechanics.
I also teach an intro to neuroscience lab section where the students design and conduct some of their own experiments as well as experiments we design, many using tech from Backyard Brains. They also do EEG near the end of the semester.

Was in the typesetting and printing business for 27 years. Couple of friends working at the local Apple store encouraged me to apply. 6 weeks later I interviewed, interviewed again and interviewed once more within a 2 week period. Offered the job the next day. Less than a year later, in 2006, I earned a Mac Genius position. Celebrating my 13th year in Apple Retail and considering a position in Corporate.
