Not listed on their site yet, but code BF2024 gives 40% off on all Carrd Pro plans.

Not exactly a sale, but Indie Charity Weekend devs are giving all profits to charity this weekend, and has some nice apps (focusedOS, Structured, etc.).

I am happy with Terminal but don’t see any reason to go beyond iTerm, it’s hard to beat. That, until Ghostty comes out in the next few weeks.

I received email from TripIt and LastPass - 50% off both of their subscriptions. If anyone interested, you can look for their websites.

Getting LastPass in 2024 is truly committing to being the last owner of your own passwords.

Aeon Timeline has 30% off new purchases (a year of updates is included; there is no need to extend after that, and you get to keep the app—for macOS & iOS/iPadOS). I have always found this app intriguing and bought it a while back, hoping to use it for timelines for my clients and project brainstorming. However, it does have a somewhat steep learning curve, so sadly I never fully adopted it in my workflows.

I have been tempted many many times by the latest Aeon Timeline especially since they claim it can be used for project scheduling but as you say the learning curve is vertiginous and during the free trail period never managed to get a satisfactory project defined.

One major project planning requirement I have is mixing fixed and movable dates. For example I bake various things for Christmas starting on “Stir Up Sunday”, which happens to be this week. This is when I make the Christmas Cake. The date shifts from year to year being the Sunday before the First Sunday of Advent which in turn changes from year to year. Some years the Fourth (and last) Sunday of Advent can be 1 day before Christmas Day and others it can be six days before. But there are some baked goods I make on specifc (fixed) dates such as the white bread loaf for stuffing and bread sauce, which get bake on 23rd December. So far not been able to find a project tool that copes with my requirement. I never managed to figure out if Aeon Timeline could.

Years ago I had version 1 but version 2 became too complex and lack some of the earlier features, IIRC. And now version 3 is daunting.

Affinity has 50% off everything:

There’s also a sale on Elephas (it’s also in Setapp).

Personal ChatGPT for all your local documents, notes, and research. Transform information overload into actionable insights.

Has anyone used Elephas?

Two much cheaper alternatives:

I’ve not used either, but both are on my to investigate list. Both are local and open source.

Thanks @MevetS. Appreciate it very much. I will check it out

These aren’t Mac-exclusives, but:

  1. Blackmagic Design is having their first ever (that I’ve ever seen at least) sale on DaVinci Resolve and some hardware, though only 20% off. And for those who don’t know the “trick”, most (all?) of their hardware includes a DaVinci Resolve Studio license if you’re in the market for both.

  2. Standard Notes is doing 50% off their annual plans, with the discount staying for life.

I’m just providing a link for the Standard Notes BF sale mentioned in the post above. As of earlier this year, Standard Notes is owned by Proton.

Which one? There is a commercial app called Elephas and a GitHub-hosted open source one.

I accidentally clicked the opt-out link in @MacSparky’s email about the field guide promotions - have they gone on sale? I see mention of a discount code, which I obviously missed if that came out, as I clicked the link :weary:
