I’ve posted about my evolving desk setup per the links below
And now it’s time for my latest update (stop booing at the back) as an office setup is never finished
I’ve moved locations in the Conservatory so I’m now at a 90 degree angle to where I was which is better from a glare perspective. My daughter now also works in here with me during the day due to her getting a home based role.
I replaced the blinds recently from the slatted ones to roller blinds. much better and easier to clean.
Desk: Ikea Bekant Electric Sit/Stand desk 120cm x 80cm
On either side of the desk I have a 5 drawer Ikea Alex unit. The right one holds some board games and the excellent Double volume Folio Edition of Andrew Chakin’s A man on the moon. The left hand one holds the Paper Shredder and my Brother mono Airprint Laser Printer
Both of are full of “Stuff” (that’s a technical term)
Monitor Shelf: Fenge Dual Monitor Stand https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0CFTF2FXF?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1
Left Monitor: MSI MD342CQP Ultrawide Monitor, currently on the Shelf until I’m happy that the position is right and then to be mounted on an Arm ARES WING Single Monitor Arm for 17" to 49" Screens, White monitor Mount Holds 44Lbs, Adjustable Gas Spring Monitor Arm Desk mount with C Clamp, Grommet Base, 75/100MM VESA Mount: Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories
Right Monitor: MSI Pro MP275Q mounted on an Arm HUANUO Single Monitor Arm Desk Mount for 13 to 32 inch Screens, Tool Free Height Adjustable Monitor Stand with Tilt Swivel Rotate, 75 & 100mm VESA Mount, Load 19.8 lbs, C-clamp & Grommet Options White: Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories
I have them on an arm so that they can be as low as possible close to the shelf
I’m trialling the right hand monitor on the Portrait orientation as I sometimes need to work on long documents which I split in the middle or spreadsheets.
Webcam: Anker Powerconf C200 (on top of the UW Monitor)
Desk Light: Millenium Falcon (On the right behind the Portrait Monitor) & Qooltek LED Desk Lap - Both switch on only when there’s a computer plugged into the Dock. Very useful for 5am and 9pm work video calls
Anker Bluetooth speaker is attached to the Fire Stick
Logi Pebble K380 Keyboard with 3 bluetooth radios
Logitech MX Master 3s with 3 bluetooth radios
This means no matter what computer I sit down with, I can switch and get going.
Personal Laptop MBA M4 13" (in shot) or Work Laptop MBA M3 15" either works great in this setup. NO more windows Laptops for the time being.
Lego Wall-e and EVA which were a Christmas present from my daughters
Gollum statue from the Lord of the Rings - The Two Towers Extended Edition box set
Treat jar for my Dog to “encourage” her to behave
Argonath Statues (as shown in the Lord of the Rings - Fellowship of the Ring film) similar to those from the Extended Edition Box set which I missed out on more than 20 years ago, but fond these recently.
Hidden out of view:
Dock: Dell WD22 TB 4 dock (hidden under the shelf)
11” iPad Pro (not in shot)
iPhone 16 Pro Max not in shot as I’m using it to take the photo.
HomePod mini (I’m considering picking up a lightly used second one for better sound)
Remarkable 2 which is indespensible for work notes
(Anker) Soundcore Q20 Wireless Bluetooth headset for work calls
AirPods Pro 2’s for personal calls
Desktop USB C charging: Anker USB C Charger, 6 Port Charging Station with 112W Power, for iPhone 17/16/15/14/13/12 Series, MacBook, Galaxy, iPad, and More (Cable Not Included): Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories
Amazon Fire Stick for Plex viewing
